The Cult To Tour Third Album ‘Electric’ This Spring

Influential British goth rock band The Cult are returning to Australia in September/October for the Electric 13 World Tour in which they’ll perform their brilliant third record Electric (1987) in its entirety – for the first time. The band hired Rick Rubin (who had worked on Slayer’s Reign in Blood the previous year) to produce the album, and the results represented an audible evolution in The Cult’s sound, combining their post-punk with a harder rock sound, even leaning toward metal territory with crunching power chords and explosive drumming. The live show will also include a second set pulling from the band’s eight other studio albums, so fans of The Cult cannot miss this or regret it forever.
