Ksubi Goes To War

Pedestrian has been given an exclusive preview of the complete look book for ksubi‘s A/W 2012 collection “War”.

Inspired by 90s grunge and the neo-punk movement, the collection evokes a luxe update on the traditional skinhead aesthetic and attitude, without all the headbutting and white power enthusiasm.

ksubi play with a bunch of familiar motifs: plaid, leopard print, 90s silhouettes (baggy pants return!). It’s also clear that high functionality is something that has been explored in the design process: zips and snaps provide a utilitarian quality to almost every piece in the collection. And the real beauty of “War” is in the individual pieces. A beautiful shirt for him. A slouchy knit for her. Great anoraks for both. There’s a lot to like here.

It’s one of the strongest, most cohesive luxury street wear collection we’ve seen from the brand. Check it out for yourself in the images below, shot by Bec Parsons with styling by Christine Centenera.
