If you are the kind of person to whom the word “console” represents more than gently patting a crying person, get ready to Spirit Charge your way to Melbourne for Game Masters: The Forum. Between Tuesday 26 and Friday 29 June, ACMI will provide opportunities for fans to hear from some of the most acclaimed international game developers in the business to celebrate the launch of the exhibition Game Masters Melbourne Winter Masterpieces which opens on Thursday 28 June.
The eminent guests speaking at the forum include Peter Molyneux OBE (Populous, Dungeon Keeper and Fable series’), Tim Schafer (Psychonauts, Brütal Legend) and Warren Spector (Deus Ex, Disney Epic Mickey) will take part in a series of public programs and each will feature in their own “In Conversation” event, designed to give audiences an insight into their craft, career and inspirations.
Game Masters will also include more than 125 playable games across arcades, consoles, PC and mobile platforms, and showcase the work of more than 30 videogame designers, from Nintendo’s character-driven worlds featuring Mario, to the absorbing narratives of Flower and Journey by thatgamecompany.
