Megan Mullally, she of high-pitched tone and immaculately rendered bitch-face, will head our way next year for the 2013 Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras but also to perform an unmissable round of Sydney and Melbourne shows as part of her first ever Australian comedy tour, An Evening with Megan Mullally.
Best known for her twice-Emmy winning role as Karen Walker on groundbreaking pro-gay sitcom Will & Grace, Mullally’s small screen resume also includes memorable turns in Party Down, 30 Rock and Parks & Recreation where she holds a recurring guest role as the psychotic ex-wife of IRL husband Nick Offerman.
Joining Mullally will be comedian/pianist Seth Rudetsky, Broadway host of Sirius/XM radio, who will “shoot the breeze, dish the dirt” and accompany the comedienne through “a host of classic Broadway songs.”
“I’m really excited to make my first ever trip to Australia! It’s a place I’ve always wanted to visit, and I can’t wait to come and meet my Aussie fans,” Mullally said. “It’s especially exciting to come and perform as part of the Sydney Mardi Gras festival – we are going to have a whole lot of fun together!”
