Guess it’s time to book in your annual leave for this year’s overseas trip, because the 2019 Coachella lineup just dropped and HOOOOO boy it’s a biggun’.

Leading the charge for the double-weekender bash in the Californian Coachella Valley is Ariana Grande and Childish Gambino, with our very own Tame Impala. The good boys from Perth, headlining easily the biggest festival in the world at the moment. Can you even believe.
As always, the festival is split over a two long weekends in April, with each day offering up a fuckin’ smorgasbord of music and arts that’ll make every Instagram influencer wet themselves with hot content ideas.
Joining Childish Gambino on Friday April 12 & 19, are acts like Janelle Monáe, The 1975, our own Rüfüs Du Sol, Anderson Paak. and the Free Nationals, SOPHIE, The Interrupters (cos ska’s back, babey!), King Princess, Jaden Smith, FISHER, Turnstile, and my favourite inclusion, RAT BOY.

On Saturday April 13 & 20 alongside the Tame Impala lads, you’ll find Solange, Kid Cudi, Billie Eilish, Mac DeMarco, Maggie Rogers, Wiz Khalifa, Idris Elba (!!!), Turnover, Superorganism, shame, Hop Along, Little Simz, Weezer, Aphex Twin, and Four Tet, to name but a few.
HOW Tame Impala got booked above Solange, Idris Elba, Aphex Twin and Kid Cudi on this year’s Coachella lineup is entirely beyond me but I am deeply about it.

If you’ve managed to not have your face blown clean off your head after days one and two of the Coachella lineup, Day Three on Sunday April 14 & 21 has the undisputed queen of 2018 pop Ariana Grande sharing the stage with the likes of Khalid, Dillon Francis, CHVRCHES, Gesaffelstein, Pusha T, Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Zedd, YG, Kaytranada, Blood Orange, U.S. Girls, and Soccer Mommy, and heaps more.
There’s also a pretty decent contingent of Australian artists hitting the big stage over the two bumper weekends, so make sure you get right around the likes of Sydney acts Mansionair and Anna Lunoe, who are representing our musical efforts alongside FISHER, Tame Impala, and Rüfüs Du Sol.
Check out the full Coachella lineup below, book those flights, text the group chat, sit on the site for passes when they drop 11am Friday PT (which is 6am AEDT Saturday January 5th) and cross your fingers for no big set clashes.
