It’s been more than six months since the latest ep of delightful, deceptively dark mole woman-centred comedy Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt hit Netflix.
We left off in the middle of Season 4, with Kimmy almost drowning her childhood friend/backpack Jan S. Port in a truly harrowing scene, Titus having his Capist pitch soundly rejected, and at least one little kid excited about Kimmy’s foray into YA fiction.
Now, Netflix is teasing the series return – and finale – which is set to stream in January 2019. What are we going to do with our lives after that? Let’s not think about it.
Easy to do, considering this teaser is a 90-style sitcom intro featuring Titus (and several Not-Tituses), a rap break, the assertion that everyone is gay, and an open homage to Living Single (the best 90s sitcom you’ve never heard of).
It’s a 90s kind of world, and everyone is gay. January 25 can’t come fast enough.
