TripAdvisor, that beloved website where you can read some of the most brutal and evocative European hostel reviews on the planet, has revealed it’s Travelers’ Choice awards for 2018 – revealing the absolute must-go locations around the world this year. You might want to sit down for the number one destination in the world, because it’s a doozy.
That’s right, folks: it’s Paris.
Truly an unknown gem of Western Europe, Paris has existed in some form for thousands of years but has flown under the radar in the eyes of most travellers, who are entirely unaware it has a number of wonderful tourist locales and a highly underrated culinary culture. While most of your idiot friends are going somewhere lame like Nice or Orleans, add Paris to your itinerary.
Award winners were determined using an algorithm based on the quantity and quality of reviews and ratings for hotels, restaurants and attractions, as well as booking interest. Yes, Paris came out on top of this list – unbelievable.
