Melbourne’s Best Restaurants Have Been Crowned, Kappo Tops List

For anyone heavily invested in searching out a good time for their tastebuds, Time Out have made a Melbourne-based hit list for your mouth i.e. Time Out Melbourne’s Food Awards 2015.

So, if you’re looking for somewhere you might not have tried, Lûmé was named Best New Restaurant and for anyone wanting to become a culinary groupie, Chef of the Year was Scott Pickett, whose various skills can be tasted at Estelle, ESP and Saint Crispin.

This year the People’s Choice Award went to Market Lane’s HuTong Dumpling Bar and the much coveted Restaurant of the Year award was given to Japanese fusion situation Kappo.

Time Out Australia CEO Michael Rodrigues said of the overall winner: “We are thrilled to award the team behind Kappo the award for Restaurant of the Year.
