London’s ‘The Last Jedi’ Opening Cops A Galactic-Level IMAX 70mm Screen

For Star Wars fans, December is the most exciting month on this year’s calendar. And it’s not because Christmas might bring with it a chewie mask.

never forget

December 15th marks the release date of Star Wars: The Last Jedi.

The trailer for this epic was thrust upon us yesterday, and it looks friggen sick: it blasts off where 2015‘s The Force Awakens ended, and features Daisy Ridley as Rey and the late, great Carrie Fischer as Princess Leia (she filmed all of her scenes shortly before her death last year, for which we’re forever grateful).

Of course, an epic is deserving of an epic screen, and that’s why London‘s The Science Museum will showing the latest ep on its eye-popping IMAX 70mm (2D) screen the night before Straya’s release date, on December 14th.

The premiere screening will be a double-bill affair with the museum putting on VII & VIII, one after the other. They’ll be hosting three session times a day thereafter throughout the festive period.

After the screening you can wander around the museum and discover for yourself if Jedi powers really do exist.

das a big ass screen

Just imagine taking in the blessed Porgs on that gigantic screen?! I want one.

Tickets to the screenings went on sale today and (no surprises) have sold out. You can add your name to the waiting list here. The Science Museum is located on Exhibition Rd, Kensington, London SW7 2DD, UK.

Contiki‘s London Insider trip is the perfect way to go deep into the coveted capital of the United Kingdom. During the culturally-immersive three day trip, you’ll go Banksy hunting, find treasures in antique stores in Notting Hill and sip lattes (or craft beers, whatever your poison) on Old Street. If that’s not sweet enough, Contiki are offering ripping deals on flights to Europe at the moment, starting at just $498 return.
