Instagram‘s last update included the ability to add hashtags to Stories, along with some very familiar looking face filters.
But wait, there’s more. Now you can add your location to your Story, which is actually more exciting than it sounds.
If you tap on the location, the app will take you to a page of posts from the same location, leading you down a dangerous rabbit hole of binge-worthy proportions.
Furthermore, your Story might be chosen to be part of a larger Story for that location that anyone on Instagram can view. If you make the cut, you’ll see the number of viewers that have watched your Story as part of the bigger one underneath.
If you’re not keen on being included, just tap the X next to it to be removed.
Hashtags in stories behave the same as regular posts – tapping on them will take you to a page of posts with the same tag. If your account is on private, your posts won’t appear on either location or hashtag pages.
Happy ‘Gramming!
