Nintendo really knows how to fuel a nostalgia fire, with the company set to make even more retro cash from their upcoming SNES Classic console. After the roaring success of the Mini NES, why wouldn’t they keep the fire blazing?
Having watched the gaming success, Capcom has decide it too would like a piece of the nostalgia pie with a re-release of Street Fighter II on a Super Nintendo cartridge.
The collector’s item was created with iam8bit and will set you back $100 USD ($126.51). According to the website, shipping for the unit will begin late November from the US.
The working game cartridge is available in two colours: Opaque Ryu Red or Translucent Glow-in-the-Dark Blanka Green. Stock is limited to 5,500 and 1,000 of them will be glow-in-the-dark copies. You won’t be able to choose, either, that shit is completely random.
“We cannot guarantee which version you will receive. It truly is completely random,” the site says.
Iam8bit says this fancy re-release is the first in a series they’re calling the Legacy Cartridge Collection, so expect more to come. If you’re keen on a copy, you can grab one right here.
