It’s a happy day but a sad day, too: happy because two angels on earth (a.k.a. star of ‘Orange Is The New Black’ & ‘The Handmaid’s Tale‘ Samira Wiley and OITNB writer Lauren Morelli) have married each other in an explosion of love and bliss; sad, because you don’t get to marry either of them. Sorry.

The gorgeous couple tied the knot on Saturday afternoon in Palm Springs, California. According to Martha Stewart Weddings, the celebration was confetti-themed (???), and featured a confetti cannon to accompany the first dance (!!!).
Wiley and Morelli met each other on the set of hit Netflix series ‘Orange Is The New Black’, where Wiley was starring as Poussey Washington and Morelli was writing her lines. They’ve been engaged since October.
Is this the most perfect romance of the modern age? No, because once again, the tragedy of missing out on marrying either of them is almost too great to bear. But still: everything is pretty wonderful regardless.
