Terry Richardson Is Really Gross

In shocking news that is in no way something that everyone probably already knows, it turns out that notable fashion photographer, and more-than-likely sex pest, Terry Richardson, has some rather, let’s just say, unusual methods of coercion when it comes to courting the models he shoots. The 48 year old photographer, notorious for the hyper-sexualised nature of his material, and similar behaviour on-set, has come under fire anew after British model Emma Appleton posted an alleged iMessage from Richardson, in which he graciously offered to book her for a Vogue shoot in New York, provided of course that Appleton let him fuck her. Gross. Really, really gross.

Richardson’s representatives have gone into bat for the controversial dickhead, with official statements claiming that the image is fake or doctored. They clarified that Richardson’s accounts were not hacked, and allege that the blame rests solely on Appleton. But this isn’t the first time that Richardson has been accused of sexually questionable behaviour. After accusations of sexual exploitation of young models by Danish model and filmmaker Rie Rasmussen in March 2010, several other models have come out and accused Richardson of sexual assault. In an article posted at the time, fellow model Jamie Peck claimed Of all the fine folks I’ve frolicked au naturel for, he’s the only one who’s left me feeling like I needed to take two showers.”
Appleton has clarified her actions on both Twitter (her account for which has subsequently disappeared) as well as her Instagram.
Whilst Vogue today has come out with a scathing statement of Richardson, reiterating their refusal to work with him: “The last assignment Terry Richardson had for US Vogue appeared in the July 2010 issue and we have no plans to work with him in the future.
Ouch.
