Swimming Cities of Serenissima Documentated By Tod Seelie

The Swimming Cities of Serenissima is a fleet of handmade boats and a crew of artists who travelled the Adriatic Sea from Slovenia to Venice this May and June, 2009. They made art boats from junk and performed the dreamy story of a drifting metropolis during the Venice Biennale, a celebrated contemporary art exhibition.

Tod Seelie’s visual documentation of the voyage is pretty amazing, it’s the kind of thing makes you want to quit your full time job and go get weird in some foreign land. Or at least that’s how it makes me feel.
