A college student from New York has created a powerful photo series inspired by the release of convicted rapist Brock Turner for sexual assault awareness media platform Current Solutions, which show common examples of sexual assault, with the subjects staring directly into the camera.
The series, by 20-year-old Yana Mazurkevich, is intended to show an array of situations, including sexual assault perpetrated by women against men, men against men, and women against women.
She told BuzzFeed News that “the inspiration behind the series was an accumulation of personal experiences and experiences that my friends have been through.”

The series has reached over 100,000 notes on Tumblr, and has received an extremely positive response from users there.

Obviously the photos come with a content warning for sexual assault.
