Nicki Minaj has continued her fashion horror show, parading a bizarre combo for the Jay Leno show. The scant catsuit plastered the singer’s skin, while peace signs contradicted the colossal knuckle dusters fastened to her hands. The knuckle dusters read “LOVE”, which I guess is stamped onto her victims head when she lands a right jab.
It seems now that there is a conscious fash-battle taking place between Minaj and the other queen of queer, Lady Gaga. Both opting for the freak-out approach, the two icon’s have been shaking things up with their couture, which appears to be getting weirder and weirder by the day. Despite gravitating towards the 1960s Marilyn Monroe look, Gaga is still prone to the odd cone shaped headpiece and camletoe conducive bottoms. While Minaj on the other hand attacks it a different way – seemingly cobbling together bits and pieces from Gypsy camping grounds and gluing them to her skin with Glag.
Although Madonna pioneered this type of wardrobe behaviour, it seems today that fashion intrepidness is alive and well.
