Miranda Kerr Accused Of Airbrushing Own Instagram Photos

Vanity levels have skyrocketed as vanity-breeding app Instagram has allegedly been toyed with by Miranda Kerr, as users with finely tuned BS detectors noticed some peculiar editing on the app goddess‘ feed.

Two offending photos have been picked up by valiant Internet watchdogs/Miranda Kerr perves, as photos of Australia’s leggiest export has been criticised for photoshopping her already flawlessly tiny waist to be an iota more flawless, a hint more tiny.

The following photo has been called out for slimming Kerr’s waist (and also warping her fingers?), as can be seen in comparison to the original, unfiltered, un-hastagged original here.

Another photo was also spotted on Kerr’s feed, from an instagram she posted a few days ago, in comparison to the same photo originally posted last year. Hm. One of these is not like the other.

Since the #photoshopgate news has spilled, Miranda Kerr responded to the image by regramming the original, non-airbrushed photo: “Hi guys, here is the original VS image! When I re-posted the photo this week to support the girls I screen grabbed it off the internet when I was working in Japan. I had no idea it was photoshopped. All good intentions- sorry for the confusion and congratulations to the girls for such a great show! <3 “

In any case, seeing the effects of airbrushing meander from glossies and affect our harmless instagram feeds is deeply concerning in the constant battle of promoting healthy body image ideals; if Miranda Kerr’s instagram is guilty of it, how many other celebrities have similarly followed suit? Exactly how prolific is the editing and broadcast of completely unrealistic bodies? Time to trawl through Kerr’s endless feed and spot if this has been an ongoing, unfortunate trend – maybe Kerr’s body isn’t *quite* as unattainably parfait as we’ve been led to believe.
