Cloud 19 is a multidiscipline exhibition curated by Tracy Quertier as part of the State of Design Festival. The exhibition will promote the future of design in a futuristic landscape through a variety of disciplines and aims to be an experimental, interactive exhibition inspiring the audience to feel optimistic about the future of design.
Cloud 19 will embrace a multitude of different styles and forms. The idea is to create an unexpected visual landscape of design pieces, to promote the ultimate state of happiness, a space where we all desire to be.
The exhibition will take place in the 1000 £ Bend, 361 Little Lonsdale St, Melbourne City in 15-25th July 2009.
The launch night will be Saturday 18th July 2009.
As part of the exhibition Melbourne casual wear label Limedrop has collaborated with Sydney’s Think Positive Designer Prints to deliver two outfits constructed of digitally printed merino wool jersey and silk twill. The print design captures the bird’s eye view from above the clouds and over the ocean. The vision was to showcase an exhibition piece that incorporates Australian design & leading edge technology.
