Kate Moss, the waif icon who once said that “Nothing tastes as good as skinny feels” is rumoured to be launching a line of jam. Irony not lost on anybody. Moss, whose past business endeavors include a wildly successful signature line for TopShop, first conceived the idea after “boiling up damsons picked at her country estate in the Cotswolds“.
According to an unnamed source (of course) in The Sun “It started as a hobby, but she’s taking it a lot more seriously after glowing feedback from friends and family. She’s hoping her plum conserve will be a hit with the public.“
Moss plans to call the spread Kate’s Damson Jam and is currently seeking distribution advice from Sir Philip Green of TopShop’s Arcadia Group. Not too sure if this is in any way true but hey, the last time a Brit we liked started a boutique foodstuffs company it actually went pretty well.
