99 times out of a hundred, use of the word ‘sexy’ is shudder-inducing and conjures images of burly sleazeballs and bitches gyrating in 50 Cent film clips and the hedonistic subculture encompassing construction workers, kebab shop owners and footy dudes and is thus off-limits, never to be uttered unless used with sarcastic intent. Understand my tentativeness in admitting this, then, but Jeffrey Campbell’s Spring/Summer 2011 collection warrants use of the tacky adjective.
In fact, no other word describes the collection more fittingly, except maybe ‘hawt’. The dude is good. Like, actually goood (recognise the intentional extra ‘o’). With price points modestly averaging at around 200 bones, he delivers us another amazeballs collection that’ll make your legs more sought after than Mischa Barton’s before she was a beefcake. Oh wait. Didn’t she have cankles even when she was on The O.C.? Fine, Mischa Barton’s good legs period.
