While its Italian sister champions black models by ummm, featuring black models, French Vogue, acting on the advice of Mick Jagger opt instead to paint it black. “It” being curvaceous Dutch model Lara Stone who was recently blackfaced for a 14 page spread shot by Steven Klein and styled by Editor-in-Chief Carine Rotifeld.
Perhaps Stone was the victim of an erroneous tanning salon, or perhaps we shouldn’t read too much into high fashion editorial but considering this and this we just got deja vu.
