‘Fabulous, It Was’: A BTS Look At Our COVERGIRL x Star Wars Blowout

A long time ago in a galaxy far, far away. . . .

*DRAMATIC/CONFRONTING STAR WARS OPENING SEGMENT MUSIC*

The COVERGIRL alliance recognised the plethora of female Star Wars fans begging for a makeup range that would aid in the recreation of their favourite galactic looks. Their cries were echoed by modern, fashion forward women looking for products more fierce than an angered Tuscan Raider. So, to answer these calls, they created the COVERGIRL Star Wars Makeup Collection

To celebrate the range, PEDESTRIAN.TV teamed up with COVERGIRL and Disney to curate, what we believe to be, the most incredible event of 2015. Check out all the shenanigans that went down at ze party.

Here’s a list of things we like: Looking faaaaaahhhhhhbuuuulouuuuuuus. Also? Movies. Music. Fashion. Glamour. Parties.
Given that we adore all of these wonderful things, we thought “how can we combine all of this into one fabulous and extravagant party?”
And that, friends, is how the COVERGIRL X Star Wars party came to be, and we don’t want to be the first to toot our own horns… but… *toot toot*
It was ~incredible~.
On Thursday night, we gathered a kick-ass group of people at the Powerhouse Museum for a truly memorable, out-of-this-world party and farrrshun show.
The ongoing theme of the evening was light side vs dark side, and this was reflected in everything from the incredible COVERGIRL makeup looks, right through to the soundtrack of the evening, provided by Radelaide Queen Tkay Maidza
There were makeup booths set up, where partygoers could embrace their dark or light side, depending on where the mood took them, and transform into ethereal holy beings.
Once the party was all glammed up, they could head over to the GIF booths and record their new aesthetics for generations to come. #goals.
Next came the fashion show that had everyone captivated. The audience got a peek at the galactic-chic capsule collection created by Romance Was Born specifically for the event, and their looks, created by the COVERGIRL Star Wars collection, were On. Point.
Think like, sleek hairstyles and a contour that would leave the Kardashians jealous, combined with an enviable, otherworldly glitz. It was très chic.
Also iconic were the accessories the models completed their outfits with; lightsabers (obvs), and shoes, provided by The Mode Collective.
All in all, we ate, we drank, we danced, we were ~inspired~, we looked gorgeous, and we wish we could do it all over again.
Basically, all that’s left to do now is resume counting down the minutes to the release of Episode VII – The Force Awakens.
