Erin McNaught Sues TV Show For $750,000 Over Partially Severed Finger

Certain faith-based disciplines hold true that all manner of manmade creation must contain within its design a single purposeful flaw reflecting the belief that God (or Goddess) alone is perfect. It’s a necessary precaution, a sign of deference to a higher power that must be observed lest we invite down upon us a vengeful wrath; no matter how painful it may be to screw up something you worked really hard on.

Classical Islamic architecture is one example, Erin McNaught’s Right Hand is another.
McNaught is suing the producers of Cybershack, “Australia’s only television program dedicated entirely to the consumer technology and home entertainment market” airing on the Nine Network, for up to $750,000 over an injury sustained on her right hand during her fateful period as host of the program between 2007-2010. It’s the price she had to pay to appease the Gods, basically.
Today’s Telegraph are reporting that while filming a review of an electric dirt bike in November 2009, McNaught fell and partially severed the index finger on her right hand. The injury required 40 stitches, intensive microtherapy to reattach the finger, reconnect nerves and blood vessels and “heaps” of physiotherapy. As a result, “A source close to the identity says her hand no longer functions properly.

‘When it happened it was really bad and her hand’s still not right. It looks really odd and it doesn’t bend properly. She’s had heaps of physiotherapy and it’s still not great,’” said the source who definitely exists.
The matter of The Identity and the Partially Severed Right Index Finger v. Cybershack is due to appear before the Downing Centre District Court tomorrow. Those hoping for a glimpse of the regular Venus De Milo need not hang around on Liverpool St waiting aimlessly for some sure sign of a balance restored to this world and McNaught’s right hand; the UK-based presenter slash professional face will not attend the hearing.
She will, however, attend her wedding in Australia in May.
What therefore God hath joined together, let not man or motorbike put asunder.
