The Council of Fashion Designers of America in conjunction with Vogue have revealed the ten finalists for the CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund which was won last year by Alexander Wang. Currently in its sixth year the Fashion Fund offers emerging American designers a staggering $200,000 with which to grow their business as well as a year’s worth of mentoring from industry veterans.
This year’s nominees included a slew of jewelery designers including Wes Anderson regular and New York socialite Waris Ahluwalia of House Of Waris. ‘We had very strong applicant pool this year, particularly among the jewelers,’ said Vogue Editor In Chief, Anna Wintour. ‘The ten finalists we selected are a talented, diverse group, who are building healthy independent businesses in challenging times.’ The winners will be announced on November 16 in New York City, the nominees are…
