We understand that not everybody is into professional wrestling. At the same time, the entire planet is into watching successful marriage proposals, so here we are.
WWE icon and all-around champ John Cena successfully proposed to partner Nikki Bella, right after the duo saw off The Miz and Maryse at today’s WrestleMania 33. Like, a real, no-fooling proposal. The kind that still counts off the canvas.
Before bending that heinously muscly knee, Cena recounted Bella’s recovery from a herniated disc, and her “loopy” state just before surgery. Cena revealed he told her “do you know one day I’m going to marry you?”

The couple has been together since 2012, and have been competing in the ring together for a fair whack of that time, too. Congrats to the winners of Wrestlemania 33’s Mixed Tag Team Match, and to the uber-fit couple.
