These AFL Umpires Just Got Engaged At The MCG & Our Hearts Can’t Take It

In a display of wholesome conduct, AFL umpire Dillon Tee proposed to his girlfriend and fellow kickass umpire Eleni Glouftsis on the turf after today’s clash at the MCG.

Tee, a boundary umpire, popped the question in the middle of the ‘G after Carlton’s 27-point win over Adelaide in Round 19. The pair had both officiated the game.

Tee had hidden the ring in his sweatband, and of course there’s video.

In 2017, a then 25-year-old Glouftsis made history and became the first woman to officiate an AFL home-and-away game as a field umpire. Earlier this year, she was declared the 2019 SA Young Australian of the Year.

The badass kicked off her career in high school, umpiring for amateur leagues and was later awarded an AFL Female Pathway Scholarship.

A ginormous congratulations to the beautiful couple!
