If you’ve seen a ridiculously lanky real-life version of those goofy inflatable car sales wriggle men chilling around Sydney lately, don’t worry, it was probably just New York Knicks center Tyson Chandler.
The former Defensive Player of the Year and NBA champion with the Heat-killing Dallas Mavericks of 2011 had been in the city to take harbouside photos of Japanese tourists, block people’s view of things and take in the stadium-sized worship of the annual Hillsong Conference at Allphones Arena in Sydney, a religious group he has been publicly affiliated with since moving to New York City in 2011 via free agency.
