Kobe Bryant Hits 30000 Career Points

Kobe Bryant cops his share of shade but even the haters can’t argue with the stats as Bryant became only the fifth player in the history of the NBA to lodge 30000 career points against the New Orleans Hornets last night. Bryant joins the elite company of Kareem Abdul-Jabbar (38,387), Karl Malone (36,928), Michael Jordan (32,292), and Wilt Chamberlain (31,419).

Sure, Kobe may have stolen everything he knows from Jordan, but as the youngest player to eclipse the mark, he has a chance to further climb up the esteemed list. Averaging a career total of 27.9 ppg, Bryant is currently leading the NBA this year in scoring.

Kobe was given even more reason to celebrate with another vital 103-87 win after an indifferent 9-10 start to the season.
