Victorian point guard Matthew Dellavedova has been crushing it the NBA playoffs, and Cleveland Cavaliers fans have embraced the young Aussie, even if his name has proved to be a bit of a mouthful.
He’s hardly the first player with a name that could trip people up – Amar’e Stoudemire, anybody? – but when The Starters polled fans to see if they could spell ‘Dellavedova’, some surprising and not entirely unexpected results came up.
A few managed to get it in the end … for the rest, sticking to ‘Delly’ might be a safer bet.
