Super Deluxe, an online video production company, took a little trip inside the HQ of one of the industry’s biggest manufacturers to find out how these, er, women, come to life.
Unsurprisingly, the process is fkn intense… and deeply, deeply disturbing (the brilliantly-chosen ‘slasher’ soundtrack does it no favours).
Things we now know about the making of sex dolls that we didn’t before:
– The process could not be less sexy.
– The moulds that hang from the ceiling on metal hooks make the factory resemble a serial killer’s fun room.
– There is slime involved. Inexplicable slime.
– There are racks and racks of boobs on display, areolas big and small.
– You get to choose if you want your doll to have an innie or an outtie.
– The labia is hand-inserted.
– The factory workers could get a second jobs as nail and makeup artists.
– You wanna accept the delivery of that giant box when the neighbours aren’t around.
