Your Mate Taika Waititi’s Cheeky Anti-Racism PSA Is Pretty Bloody Clever

Taika Waititi is the actor/director/comedic genius responsible for New Zealand flicks Boy, Hunt for the Wilderpeople and What We Do in the Shadows (plus a little indie movie you probably haven’t heard of called Thor: Ragnarok).
He’s also a Maori New Zealander, so it makes sense that he’d partner up with the Human Rights Commission to tackle the growing issue of casual racism in New Zealand.
And he’s done it in a way only the bloke responsible for “werewolves not swear wolves” could.
Observe: the best example of reverse psychology since your mum telling you not to go to bed.

The video, and the website Give Nothing, are part of an effort to “stop casual racism from growing into something more extreme“. People are already big fans of the concept.

Bloody good stuff. And remember, mates: when you’re giving to racism, every little bit of nothing counts.
