Tonight on ‘The Weekly’, Charlie Pickering took a first look at ‘The Journey‘, a government-funded film about refugees.
While Pickering first skewered the ridiculousness of the government putting $6 million about the Australian Border Force and refugees without it being propaganda, he soon gets the real point: the movie is actually quite good.
Despite Peter Dutton‘s input, the movie really invests its time in creating a world where *all* Australians are encouraged care about refugees currently fleeing their homes, and the refugees who are sitting in off-shore detention centres. Right now, many of us don’t really care at all.
