On Tuesday, 21 February, GetUp! and Australian Marriage Equality sent three same-sex couples to a dinner with the same-sex marriage-opposed Prime Minister Julia Gillard to share with her their experiences as loving families living in a country where their union isn’t recognised. Why? Well, that’s because of our society’s antiquated definition of what marriage is.
Love is love – It needs no labels or restrictions. And that’s the message these couples wanted to send the Prime Minister. Watch them share their stories here:
