After nearly two decades in the political wilderness, Pauline Hanson is somehow heading back to the Senate, and she may even be bringing a second One Nation senator with her, thanks to the party’s strong showing at the polls in Queensland.
This means we’re going to be seeing a lot more of her in the months and years to come, starting with the below video, which shows a heated exchange between Hanson and ALP senator Sam Dastyari on election night.
During a Channel 7 broadcast, Dastyari congratulated the conservative senator on her win, then invited her out for a halal snack pack – otherwise known as the new kebab – in Sydney’s western suburbs.
He got the response he and everyone else expected. And so the second Hanson era begins:
