WATCH: Johnny Depp’s New Career Move Is Joking About Killing Donald Trump

Johnny Depp is not exactly having a great couple of years. Critically panned flicks, mind-boggling financial fuckery, and deeply troubling domestic abuse allegations have all worked to shift public perception of the 54-year-old.

So, when given a microphone and an audience at Glastonbury Festival, Depp did what he could to wrangle some favour: he joked about murdering U.S. President Donald Trump.
Before a screening of his 2004 flick The Libertine for Glasto’s Cinemageddon event, Depp detoured onto a pretty macabre discussion of Trump.

“I think he needs help and there are a lot of wonderful dark, dark places he could go,” said the man who has spent his career trying to embody what he believes it means to be ‘dark’.
Depp continued, saying “it is just a question.

“I’m not insinuating anything. By the way, this is going to be in the press. It will be horrible…

“When was the last time an actor assassinated a president?”
With some of the edgy semantic trickery we’ve come to expect from the fella, Depp added “I want to qualify, I am not an actor. I lie for a living.

“However, it has been a while and maybe it is time.”
Perhaps it’s best we let that whole deal lie with John Wilkes Booth, hey?
