VIC Premier Daniel Andrews Took Soon-To-Be Deported Refugee Kids To A Zoo

Let’s say it all together: AWWWWWWWWW.

The other day, Victorian Premier Daniel Andrews really chucked a spanner in the Liberal machine that is our government, and wrote a public letter to Prime Minister Malcolm Turnbull simply saying, ‘Victoria is happy to take the refugees you say must be deported.’
Since then, NSW Premier Mike Baird and SA Jay Weatherill have both publicly showed their support for Andrews’ sentiment.
But, in line with the collective #LetThemStay rallies happening around Australia, the Premier posted this bloody gorgeous photo to his Facebook page today, saying that he’d spent a really lovely day at the zoo with two refugee children.
He directed the post again to the Prime Minister, saying that the children were “ordinary Victorians in almost every way. They go to their local primary school; they laugh, they learn, they play.”

“But one thing is very different: any day now, these two boys will be deported to Nauru and will stay there indefinitely.

Dozens more children face the same fate.

Please, Prime Minister: it doesn’t have to be like this.”

I can’t show you their faces, but I can tell you a bit about these two beautiful kids who I took to the Melbourne…
