There are few more joyless things I can imagine in this world than watching porn while driving. There’s absolutely no payoff to doing it. You can’t even crank hog without causing a huge highway pileup and killing dozens of people, so what’s the point in doing it?
A 50-year-old man from West Gippsland has been slapped with over a thousand bucks in fines for watching porn on his dashboard-mounted smartphone while hooning down the Monash Freeway. He was caught by an off-duty cop who saw the screen while driving alongside him.
Dashboard mounted. The bloke was watching porn on a dashboard-mounted smartphone like it was a bloody GPS or something. Something about that isn’t right and I can’t put my finger on it.
“This sort of behaviour simply isn’t acceptable when behind the wheel,” said Sergeant James Robbins.
“We want everyone to be sitting at Christmas lunch this year, and silly behaviour like this is all too often means there will be an empty seat and another life lost.”
The guy copped four demerit points and two fines – $466 for using a mobile phone while driving and $622 for offensive behaviour. Watching porno while driving: nah don’t but.
