Turkish Shop Owners Are Letting Stray Dogs Sleep Inside During Cold Snap

Oh my god.

You know how people say we don’t deserve dogs and all that? Well, that’s true, but *some* people come pretty dang close, and those people are the ones giving Turkey‘s stray dogs blankets and cardboard to stay warm.

As you might have seen, Europe is currently in the midst of a freezing cold snap that’s already claimed the lives of 61 people, many of them homeless or refugees. Rivers have frozen, flights have been cancelled, and power and water supplied across the continent have been majorly disrupted.

Short order? Europe has come to an icy standstill.

But in response, volunteers across Turkey have taken it upon themselves to make sure the country’s stray dogs survive the cold snap.

LOOK AT THE CUTENESS OF POOCHES:
Some shop owners, like clothes store Penti in Istanbul, have opened up their stores to allow dogs to sleep inside.

Translation: “Don’t forget that only true love warms up.”

Temperatures are expected to rise with upcoming snowfall, but in the meantime… snug up warm you blessed furry angels.
