Shortly after Donald Trump was inaugurated as president of the United States of America, co-host of the podcast Chapo Trap House Matt Christman tweeted this:

By all appearances, he was absolutely correct. Between Trump himself and the complete breakdown he provoked in a political establishment not equipped to deal with someone who is somehow too stupid to have rules or consequences apply to him, America went completely mad.
While it’s hard to qualitatively rank whether Trump staring directly at the sun is stupider than Trump trying to buy Greenland, or whether either of those is stupider than the whole hamburger catering thing, the cumulative effect of these things happening day after day after day is of a world gone increasingly strange — of a day that is perpetually stupider than the one that came before it.
This makes somehow at once both extremely surprising and extremely not surprising to learn that the president is officiating a social media conservative rap challenge.
