Police in Michigan used a pretty genius way of creating a safety net of sorts for a man who was at risk of jumping from a bridge in Detroit this week. Truckies.
As reported by Fox 2, Michigan State Police managed to close the freeway in both directions and call in 13 truck drivers with semi-trailers to pull up underneath the bridge, creating a shorter fall in the chance the man attempted to take his life.
It’s some pretty quick thinking on their feet to pull this one off and made a truly impressive image to see a bunch of truckies banding together to help a stranger.

Negotiators were on the scene for multiple hours speaking with the man, who eventually stepped back from the edge of the bridge and was safely taken to a local hospital for treatment.
