Tiger Gleefully Exposes Youtuber Who Claims He Flew MEL – SYD In A Suitcase

Have you ever flown on a domestic flight in Australia, and been like, man, this was all computerised, no one even checked my ID, what is this? What’s going on here?
Apparently some have.
US Youtuber Adam Saleh reckons he decided to test out his attempt to fly across Aussie states for free in the baggage hold.
“I heard when you check in the luggage, no one checks the luggage so you can just check in and go.”
In the video, two of his mates zip him into a suitcase in a Melbourne hotel room, then taxi to the airport.
You see the men put the bag into the computerised check in booth, but the computer tells them the bag is far overweight. The men say they paid an overweight fee for the bag, and then the remainder of the video is Saleh sweating and becoming increasingly uncomfortable in the bag, filmed with a GoPro
His friends are comfortably enjoying snacks on the flight, sitting next to an empty seat they claim is Saleh‘s (although it’s strange they purchased a seat for him when, if the video were true, they clearly wouldn’t have had to?).
Watch the video below:
However, Tiger Airways have slammed the comic, saying that there’s inconsistencies with the video. In an open letter, the flight company said:
“Firstly, you wouldn’t have been accepted by our automated bag drop machines at 66kg as a friendly staff member would have stepped in to assist.
Secondly, some aircraft have heated baggage holds but the aircraft you were on does not and it gets pretty cold at 36,000 feet so by the time you arrived in Sydney you would have been a popsicle.”
And here’s the glorious, glorious kicker:
“Thirdly, we have footage of you boarding the aircraft using your legs.”
Finally they say that the matter is now being investigated and the video should be removed:

Tigerair Australia has a zero tolerance for inappropriate behaviour and has investigated this matter as a priority.

We can confirm that the footage is not genuine and we have requested that the footage be removed as a consequence.”
They also responded directly to Saleh‘s tweet advertising the video, publicly calling it out:

Amazing. Truly amazing.
