Tidal Just Might Be Streaming Exclusive Movies Ft. Its Signed Artists Soon

According to Page Six, Tidal‘s moving into the movie-streaming business.
After just cracking 3 million subscribers after their one-year anniversary this week, the music service is allegedly in negotiation with a bunch of movie industry execs for a potential partnership.
One goal is to create films exclusively for Tidal, focusing on the artists signed with the service such as Kanye West, Nicki Minaj, Madonna, Beyoncé and more.
A Page Six source said,
“The movie service will feature original content as well as acquired films.

Tidal hopes to work with an indie studio or producer on a partnership to create original movies.”
Early talks have apparently been had with Harvey Weinstein, and producer Irv Gotti to acquire movies.
So, yet another reason to begrudgingly sign up to Tidal. Because damn, if there’s a full-length Yoncé movie, we’d sure as shit getting our free month-long trial on, ja feel?
