Kicking off 2017 in blissful style, Romy Madley Croft – one-third of The xx – has announced her engagement to her partner, minimalist visual artist and owner of one of the tidiest Instagrams I’ve ever seen – Hannah Marshall.
Romy took to Instagram to share the Big News, letting slip that Hannah was the one who popped the question. Ugh, so CUTE.
The couple’s engagement is a beautiful match made in a perfectly-designed heaven, and sparkles with the hope that hey, maybe more people will be able to get married this year.
(Not looking at anyone, Australia.)
Hannah‘s previously worked with The xx on their stage outfits, as well as working with other big artists like Florence and the Machine, Janet Jackson, Savages, and Goldfrapp.
The A+ news from the lines up pretty bloody nicely with The xx‘s latest single, Say Something Loving, which the band dropped on their Spotify yesterday.
The uplifting chune shows off the kind of genre-bending that is to be expected from the next album, which is getting released on Jan 13.
