The Guardian Gives Tom Hardy Film Two Stars, Studio Plays Expert Manipulator

It’s a rule of thumb for anyone doing cre-ah-tive work that no matter how good you are, someone, somewhere, is going to think you’re shit. Not THE shit. Just shit.

Like film critic Benjamin Lee of The Guardian, for example, who gave Tom Hardy‘s latest film ‘Legend‘ a paltry two stars and called it “only mildly interesting”, “clumsy”, and “disappointing.”

Now, the crack marketing team behind ‘Legend’ could have left The Guardian’s review alone. They could’ve left it buried right there in the film section, squashed between three stars for Spotlight and a piece about Sienna Miller getting cut from a movie. They could have walked away.

“NOT TODAY!” they cackled, mashing keyboards and muttering trololololol under their breath.

They went right ahead and hid the two star review in plain sight, behind Tom Hardy’s twin heads, like the trolling experts they clearly are:

SO BOLD. SO BRAZEN. SO BRILLIANT.
