The Census Crash Has Already Launched A Thousand Beautiful Memes

Who would have thought getting 9 million households to log in and do the census within the space of 5 hours on a website whose usual traffic is zero people per day could monstrously backfire? Probably literally anyone, I’d say.

The ABS have finally admitted that the website is down and that they’re working on the problem, reversing their previous position of covering their eyes and pretending like everything is fine.

The ABS & Census websites are currently experiencing an outage. We’re working to restore the service. We will keep you updated. Thank you.
