‘The Block’ Breaks TV Prize Money Records At Series Finale Auction

Australian prime time stalwart ‘The Block’ may not be our nation’s most critically-adored TV offering, but it sure as hell is the most profitable for its contestants, as four couples walked home with bounties between $665,000 and $935,000 dollarydoos each last night during the series’ finale.

Would be wanting minimum six figs as well if a camera was in my face for months, while I underwent the harrowing trials and tribulations of selecting on point throw pillows as well, tbh.
The Block veterans Darren and Deanne Jolly were feeling as akin to their surname as one could possibly be after taking out first place during last night’s auction of their luxury Melbourne apartment, built and renovated during the show, as they soared $835,000 past their reserve of $1.455 million, snagging a bonus $100,000 as overall winners.
Why pretend that I know anything about real estate when their win was obviously swayed by this [frankly] insulting wine cellar. The wine, it should be noted, was included.
I see you and your endgame, buyers, and I approve.
Sydney’s Josh and Charlotte, Adelaide’s Tim and Anastasia and the Gold Coast‘s Jess and Ayden walked home with $810,00, $755,000 and $665,000 respectively.
The total prize money dished out last night totalled over $3 million, reportedly breaking a global record for the most prize money awarded on a single night of television.
