Victim Of Sydney Knife Attack Identified As 24 Y.O. Michaela Dunn

The woman killed in the alleged knife attack in Sydney’s CBD yesterday has been identified as Michaela Dunn, from Lidcombe.

9News reports that the 24-year-old is the woman who was found dead in a Clarence St apartment after the alleged killer, 20-year-old Mort Ney, was apprehended on the corner of Clarence and York Sts.

NSW Police in a statement would not confirm the woman’s identity on a formal basis, but said she is “believed to be” Michaela Dunn:

While she has yet to be formally identified, it is believed to be Michaela Dunn from Sydney’s inner west.

While her family appreciate the support offered by the community, they have requested their privacy at this difficult time.

Speaking to 9News, Dunn’s mother described her as a “beautiful, loving woman who had studied at university and travelled widely,” and said she was “was very much loved”.
