Spicks & Specks Is Back This Weekend For A 00s Quiz So You Might Actually Know Some Answers

spicks and specks 00s

Hands on buzzers, because it’s time again to play Spicks and Specks. Isolation is bringing the big guns of household quizzes back out this weekend, with the iconic ABC music trivia show returning for a very special one-off. Cast your mind back to the glorious days of the 2000s people, because that’s what quizmaster Adam Hills will be focusing on.

Finally, an episode of Spicks And Specks where I might actually know some answers.

Quizmaster Adam Hills will be joined by the incredible Alan Brough and Myf Warhurst as team captains for an episode that is bound to have you forgetting exactly how much of a shit show the real world is.

If that wasn’t quite enough to entice you, the trio will also be joined by Ella Hooper, Nic Cester, Joel Creasey and Sarah Kendall. I mean, talk about a self-iso treat.

The iconic show will be taking things back to the noughties, a time long before coronavirus ruined your chances to sink a beer at the pub, get laid or go on a holiday. It truly was a much simpler time when our hardest decisions included which friends were worthy of your MySpace top eight and whether or not to spend your hard earned cash on the Crazy Frog polyphonic ringtone for your Nokia.

Basically, you’ll get to relive all of the best bits of the start of the century, without the hassle of dial-up internet. What more could you possibly want?

The 00s special is part of the limited run of themed episodes, including the 90s and Australian music quizzes we’ve already seen, and another secret episode that’ll be hitting our screens in the next few months.

The special airs on ABC TV at 7.40pm on Sunday night, so mark your calendars, (virtually) gather your friends and get ready for a truly *chefs kiss* night of television.

If you miss it, or you just want to re-live the iconic 90s and Australian specials (including special guests like Tina Arena, Missy Higgins, Nina Oyama and Rove McManus), you can check out Spicks And Specks on iview.
