The ‘Sherlock’ Creators Have A New Show About Dracula Coming Out & Givvus It Now

HOO BOY, Sherlock creators Mark Gatiss and Steven Moffat have a new show coming out – their first since the Benedict Cumberbatch led masterpiece – and it looks cool as hell. It’s called Dracula and its based on the legendary tale by Bram Stoker.

The three-part series will follow ol’ mate Drac from his origins in Eastern Europe to his battles with vampire hunter Van Helsing‘s descendant and beyond.

Claes Bang (The Square, The Girl in the Spider’s Web) stars as Dracula. He’s joined by Sherlock star Jonathan ArisSacha Dhawan (The Boy With The Top Knot, The Great), Nathan Stewart-Jarrett (Misfits, Adulting), Catherine Schell (Doctor Who, On Her Majesty’s Secret Service), Youssef Kerkour (Home, Jack Ryan), and Clive Russell (Game of Thrones, The Terror).

And don’t worry, Dracula is coming to Netflix too. It already has a title page on the streaming giant so you can set a little “remind me” alert if you’re super keen.

There’s yet to be an official release date but we’ll keep you updated.

Fair warning: there are a couple of bits in the teaser trailer that might make you squirm a little. Also, badass nuns.

On a related note, Bram Stoker’s Dracula – the one with Gary Oldman, Winona Ryder, Keanu Reeves, and Anthony Hopkins, was on SBS last night. I forgot how goddamn weird it is, but I watch it every time. Every damn time. And I can’t explain why.

How’s this scene though?
