Over The Rainbow: Australia Lights Up, Holds Vigil To Honour Orlando Deaths

Cities around Australia have paid their respects to the 50 lives lost in the tragic shooting in Orlando, Florida – showing their LGBTQI pride to honour those that died in the attack on the gay club.
Candlelight vigils were held in Sydney tonight in Taylor Square and Newtown, as people came together to grieve and pay tribute.

The Sydney Harbour Bridge was lit up rainbow-style and otherwise pretty dickish guy Mike Baird pledged solidarity with Orlando.

Melbourne and Brisbane paid their own tribute as well, lighting up their slightly less iconic monuments in equally spectacular fashion.

Candlelight vigils are being held all over Australia over the course of the next week, if you want to pay your respects in your own city.
